Prior to private practice, Dr Koo served as the Director of the Foot and Ankle Service at Singapore General Hospital. Having completed a 1-year fellowship at St. Mary's and Charing Cross Hospitals, Imperial College Healthcare in London, UK, where he worked alongside a team of renowned orthopaedic surgeons to care for elite athletes and professional dancers has enabled Dr Koo to hone his skills in managing sports-related foot and ankle injuries with precision and care.

Beyond his private practice, Dr Koo is highly involved in academic research where he is a member of GRECMIP (Group of Research & Study in Minimally Invasive Surgery of the Foot) and has published in multiple peer-reviewed medical journals. He also actively contributes his expertise through frequent presentations at regional and international conferences, including the prestigious American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH) Annual Scientific Meetings.
